CANCER CHARITIES

Bekky and I are obviously very keen to help any charity working towards the support of my fellow sufferers, and those whose aim is one day to find a cure.

While we have done our best to do our bit since diagnosis, our time has almost exclusively been given over to being treated and we've sadly not been able to do much fundraising so this page is a little gesture towards helping those charities that help so many.  Please feel free to donate to any, or all of them.

BOWEL CANCER UK

The UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.  They provide expert information and support for patients and their families.   They campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. They support and fund research to help stop people dying of bowel cancer. And they educate the public and professionals about the disease.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

If you have cancer, then you will, almost without doubt, have already had contact with Macmillan, perhaps without even realising it.  As well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer by funding specialist nurses within the NHS, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Their goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.

CANCER RESEARCH UK

Cancer Research UK is among the most exemplary of charities. Their aim is simple - to reduce the number of deaths from cancer. They focus on four key areas - working to help prevent cancer, diagnose it earlier, develop new treatments and optimise current treatments by personalising them and making them even more effective.
